Halfa

Halfa is a natural vegetable fiber with unique characteristics. This perennial herbaceous plant is mainly found on the high plateaus of central Tunisia in the governorates of Kasserine, Sidi Bouzid, Gafsa and Kairouan. Due to its fine, short and fairly rigid nature, halfa fiber is one of the few raw materials that can be used to make rigid objects and mats.
